A visit to CFC

We went to CFC - California Fried Chicken - on Sunday night for dinner. We do not get much meat to eat here, so that was a good reason to go and have a feast. Another good reason is the manager is Mery, the daughter of Dean Tagor. Note all the motorbikes parked outside. This is a common form of transportation here. Mery rides a motorbike to work.CFC is a chain headquartered in Indonesia with over 130 restaurants, 13 of them in Sumatra. Mery worked in a CFC in Jakarta and then transferred here to be with her family.Soft serve ice cream...at least that's what we think it was. It didn't melt very fast so maybe it was a rice based concoction. It was cold and sweet and tasted almost like frozen custard in America.
Here's Mery the manager behind the counter.

Nancy and Jacob sort through the ordering process. We ordered the "family bucket" just like we did at the KFC.We returned to campus at twilight. Sunday is a very quiet day on campus and in the evening it was beautiful and almost a bit cool...but not quite!
