Bread - Making Great Progress!

After looking without success for a round cake pan, I have baked two loaves free form on the cookie sheet provided with the oven. This morning's result was excellent, with a great crunchy crust. Now if we can just find some strawberry jam! I am making gifts of the bread to our neighbors and visitors. Even though it is not sweet like the local bread, everyone still seems to enjoy it.I've add steam to the cooking by pouring boiling water into a bowl on the lower level of the oven.I let my dough rise in the oven before baking. The oven is what we call a "lizard proof" enclosure.
