Vernal Fall - UP the mountain we go!

We tackled Vernal Fall based on the idea of walking to a mid-level observation bridge. How hard of a hike could it be? After all, it was paved and there were all sizes and shapes of folks taking it on. We quickly learned that "strenuous" really meant strenuous. After climbing halfway to the moon, we reached the bridge and I elected to take an extended break. Jacob and Nancy decided to press on to the Fall and beyond to the Emerald Pool. They had a big time exploring up top, practically at the base of Half Dome. I caught up with them later as they made the decent down below the Fall.
