To cap off our first day of hiking, we strolled along the flat mile to the Lower Yosemite Falls. The water was tumbling down the cliff and smashing into trees and boulders at the bottom. It would be interesting to know if the volume increases during the spring as the snow melt continues.
We could only imagine how crowded this place would be in the summertime. As it was, there were dozens of tourists at the base of the falls, one of the biggests crowds we encountered during our Yosemite days. We even had to wait a few minutes in order to get shots without others in them. We were definitely spoiled.
